    Re: NASCAR Secrets revealed!

Imagine how Scott Speed must feel now. Gone from F1 and now in stock cars. It must be so mind boggling to keep up with this new format of "turn left, then go straight".
Well, my opinion of stock car drivers has really change after seeing this informative video!

been there done that. Drove a Petty Experience

back in 99 and it looks easier then it is. even though it is a same corner over and over the situation changes. I think the biggest challange in Nascar is the traffic and aerodynamics. If you watched the last Talladega race where Gordon (Jeff not Robby) took the win in a last lap, you can why. He was far back but he had a good run and Tony Steward went with him, pushed him to the lead. Tony fell back on the last corner from 2nd to 8th or 9th. the 2 car always goes faster then one car seems like an absolute truth !
I enjoyed driving the big engine 4spd manual transmission, carburated, old school race car.

Well after I tried several other racing forms it

may not be the favorite. I still enjoy NASCAR and watch it sometimes on TV but real life is better. NASCAR and most oval track is more fun in life not like F1 which is fun to watch once or twice in life but you only get the whole picture in TV. The track is huge, you only see one or two seconds. it is a must to see at least once in life to be able to really understand the speed.
Drag Race - been there watched it and done it a few times in beginner level, not much fun. not enough excitment for me, no turns no braking, just stomp your feet quick and hard.

so your question asnwered, for the money I rather do something else. Like the Rally experience in Mid-Florida, or an open wheel racing at Bob Durant. Both similar money (more but close) and a bit more fun.
My wife gave me the Richard Petty experience as an anniversary gift, the backside was a week in Disney :-) Both was entertaining and I enjoyed the week !
