I am not trying to update the old post. I am just
curious to see hoe people's lives and goals change between High School and 5+, 10+, 15+, 20+ years after.<html>

Re: E31 owners..What is your profession?
Well how about at least I have to do to make the most $. No, just being a "MARK". The last post today! I Own a Publishing Corp, Design Graphic Corp, and a Collection Agency. Ain't it great to do work for client's and have to start you own collection agency to collect your money from the deadbeats after they got the product! I was to trusting in my younger days! Regards, Gene

kindergarten teacher up to 2nd grade after that
computer programmer or electric engineer. I went to college and become a computer engineer. then I become a system analyst. Then my 1st job was a programmer then consultant for a few years and then I started my own business and sold turnkey systems.
When the computer industry took a hit, I purchased an automotive business and been doing that 7 years. So big time change. I went with a flow, I don't really care if I like the work and it pays me.
In the meantime I tried brokering (hated it) and I'm also doing some freight forwarding business (I like that won't mind doing that full time)
so I got my dream job and then quit with a smile on my face :-)
people change and take the life as a challange. It is a journey and not the destination is important but the road to getting there !

Exploitation Engineer & Construction Company Owner
I have actually always wanted to be an engineer since I was 14, just was never sure what kind I wanted to be. Ended up graduating with a mechanical engineering degree with a computer integrated manufacturing minor. Work in oil and gas now, so everything I learned in my degree is pretty much not applicable to what I do now lol

Non degreed Design Engineer in the
Machine Tool & Die and Special Machinery area which is what I always wanted to be and got in to the field 2 months after I graduated from high school, I have run my own design businees before for 5 years then went back to working for someone else, I wanted to be a software programmer at the end of high school (1985) but my dad who was a Manufacturing engineer talked me out of it.
