IT Manager, New Patent Holder Seeking Funding!
Close to what I wanted to do out of High School. I manage 47 Applications Development Programmers and Project Managers.
But here's what I really want to do:
I recently obtained a patent for a wireless remote third brake light that goes on the back of a motorcycle helmet or bicycle helmet. Very cool, uses h-field backscatter magnetic pulse technology - we have 23 unique claims and a set of unmatched features. We have built prototypes and have cost effective manufacturing.
I have ton invested over the last 4 years (to obtain the patent, complete the RF engineering and build a couple of working prototypes) - I just need a small amount (~$300k) of investment capital to bring it to market.
Wish me luck!

headhunter
I thought I wanted to be an electrical engineer...
I was working for an electron microscope company when I started recruiting people to work for me on the field service team and I have been recruiting ever since. Almost 9 years now.
I would have laughed if you told me this was a real job when I was in high school.CC31638

I hear you, but what a great project...
...to undertake. I have it on only one BMW, but what a joy it is. The M62 is such a great motor to supercharge, and I think the same is true of BMW's 12's as well. It's as docile or as beastly as you want it, always with perfect poise and control. I really, really want to figure out a way to do one of the 8s.
What it comes down to is this, in my opinion: if it's a "lifetime" car, then it needs to have the power on tap that the the rest of the vehicle can handle, and I think that's north of 375 ft/lbs of torque.
Had a house in Eagle Vail for a while and had an '85 Mustang GT into which I inserted a Paxton supercharger. Dyno-ed at 406 hp at sea-level, 342hp at 8200 ft, and that was terrific fun. Big enough versus the stock 215 hp at sealevel to make a world of difference.
My 2 cents.

Bimmer Doc and shop owner............or
like I like to tell people, nut and bolt sorter. I always knew I would own my own business but didn't figure out what that business would be until I had bought a 25 year old BMW in college and realized I couldn't afford to have someone else maintain it.
