Re: Have you had to buy new tires yet? PumP
No sir........have only put less than 9k miles on the car in a couple of years and 2500 of those were the drive back when I bought it........gotta say though that because of my obsessive preventative maint I still have been very busy with bits and pieces even though the car has only 29k.......changed tranny fluid and filter twice in 6000 miles with Amsoil synthetic, change engine oil and filter every 1500-2000 miles with full synthetic, new Tstat and flush, new hoses, new plugs, caps, rotor arms, new SS brake lines and Super Blue fluid, new brake pads, new belts and air filters, new vacuum lines, new microfilters, etc, etc, etc and thats without the detail jobs.....but you get the point.....

Retired. Senior year of HS ('65), I wanted...
...to join the Army, so I did for nine years. Then an advertising career for 20 years. Liked the Army better.

Re: Forced induction helps alot!
I know I know....have seen the difference between an unturbo diesel and a turbo diesel. The non turbo doiesel wont even pull its own weight up a hill.....the turbo one runs just fine!!
I dont know if I want tog o through all of that just to make it faster up here. Its fast enough at lower altitudes.....always seems to get me in trouble!!

Failed Retiree
Actually made it almost 9 months this time but I was offered a project that I couldn't resist so now I an a Ceramics Process Engineer again--Oh well some day I will get it to stick.
As a senior I just wanted to be GONE from there (Illinois) and I have pretty much succeeded at that at least.
