its a 1991 850i, has 77k miles, automatic tran, exterior/interior is clean, but there is a problem with the electric. the power widows dont work. the car costs 6,100. i dont know much about the 850, but the more i research the car the more i fall in love with it, but at the same time the more i read how problamatic they are, so any comments suggestions or advice anyone has would really help me out alot.

..at that price, there is a good chance you

will spend several thousand right off the bat to get that car without problems. Here is where maintenance records come in real handy. Don't be fooled in thinking you are getting a great deat at $6100, and keep in mind the cars mileage is about where alot of things will start to need replacing if they haven't been done yet (more probable than not if you have no records). I had a great deal at $7900 myself, but it wasn't apparent until after I spent another $20,000 to bring the car back to "dependable" status.
Best advice: do your homework! and then do it again....

    Good luck.
