WOW-2009 Jaguar XKGT-R!!!!
This is it! The most anticipated sports car in the U.S., the Jaguar XKGT-R, has been revealed and is making its North American debut at the 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show. So what you see here is the full, undisguised XKGT-R in all its glory.
The most notable modification is to the face. Gone is the "running mascara" chromed decorative side vents, replaced by body-colored intergrated vents, which makes the face look much cleaner and more elegant.
Some say the car looks like an F-18 fighter jet on wheels while others feel that it belongs on the set of Transformers. Either way, the styling speaks volumes of what this car is capable of on the open road.
Under the hood a enlarged 5-liter supercharged V-8, the old inefficient supercharger is replaced with a TVS, and is Eaton’s newest supercharger design that is capable of running with a high thermal efficiency (up to 76%),that pumps out 480 bhp and about 430 lb.-ft. of torque.
Jaguar claims that the XKGT-R runs to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds, which puts it in Porsche 911 Turbo territory. In fact, XKGT-R project chief, says that the XKGT-R lapped the famed North Course at the Nürburgring faster than the Porsche 911 Turbo.
Not bad for a car that we hear will cost about $70,000. The car goes on sale first in UK, then in the summer of 2008 in the U.S. as a 2009 model. R&T was the only magazine to drive a U.S.-spec model.

Kaptain, your correct!!! just having some fun.
Yea, you are correct.
I was just having some fun, as to what our cars already should be.
These XKR-XJR's with all options, like wheels and the big-brakes are close the 100k mark.
We should not be waiting for the next gen, to get these mods, it should have happened in 2000, no later than the 2003 model.
The parisitc Eaton, should be a foot-note already, replaced by a lyshome style.
Well maybe once Tata's from India buys it from ford, we will get the cars we deserve.
The new styling cues have not worn on me yet.
