oh crap, another 8 gets a boot ? whats happening ?
are you guys getting tired of the car or just getting HP hungry ?
good luck and no imho it would be even absolutely proper to post this message in the main board. But I'm not the owner so you are correct to post it here.
do it on the roadfly for sale section if you want to waste some time but the bay is the best bet. maybe the roundel ?
sorry to hear that you are leaving us !

Well for me .. you are right ti was the HP craze. I've always wanted a high HP, high performance car. Slapping a SC on a 535HP Z06 fits the bill. BTW - my license plate is "198 PLUS"

Re: oh crap, another 8 gets a boot ? whats happening ?
Thanks Laszlo, Main reason I don't post much is because I don't know what 'toes' I might be stepping on. I did see that David W. put his CSI for sale on the main page so your thoughts must be right. I have posted an ad in the Roadfly "for sale" section, but I didn't do any pictures...just a link to a site with some. I've also started looking and posting on BimmerForum.
Thanks again for your time.Patrick Ford

Re: oh crap, another 8 gets a boot ? whats happeni
Hi Patrick. I really posted an honest question on the main board - and I'm not sure it was answered. It wasn't my intent to "advertise it" - I've been a member for a lot of years and respect the opinion of the gang. I found another car, but am only selling mine for that car - so if that car sells, mine is no longer for sale. For that reason - I want to sell it quickly or not at all. So, back to my question - where ever it belongs - should I put on ebay? I think it cheapens the car - but then see a lot of expensive cars there...

Re: oh crap, another 8 gets a boot ? whats happeni
David,
My 'intent' with putting your name and post in my answer to Laszlo was--just if I should/could ask about selling my car on the forum or not. My apologies to you if it came out as anything else.
As for your question about the 'bay'? I have gotten both of my BMW's and two Rovers from the 'bay', but I've never sold a car there. I would rather not try and sell there as cars like ours are not really understood by most of the folks out in the World. Someone that knows about an 8 Series, more importantly your CSI for example, would not have any problems understanding all the effort and expense you're put into your car and also would have no problem with your asking price. My car is no where near in the condition yours is but I still want someone that can appreciate what I've done with him and take him to the next level. I don't really think that putting your car on the 'bay' will "cheapen" it but most folks looking there are expecting the "lowest price"; unless, like your CSI, it's a 'Rare' type of car.
Again, sorry for any misunderstand and good luck with you 'other' car quest.Patrick Ford
