okay to remove rubber spring bumpers?

anyone know if removing the rubber spring bumpers in the rear will damage the spring mounts or pose any other threats? I installed Eibach springs and wanted more drop in the rear so i removed the rubber bumpers and now it looks just right.

If by bumpers you mean the bump stop then yes, that's a bad idea. You can take the lower spring pad out but must leave in the upper. The bumper, little dome in center of upper pad, helps protect the suspension parts in an event of bottoming out. Otherwise the suspension will over travel and hit hard parts. Shock valves being the most common casualty.
