    DSC System Fault

My Jag is a 2002 3.0 X-Type and out of nowhere my DSC light comes on randomly, for no visible reason that I can see. I had my battery cable replaced due to power lose but everything else checked out okay on the diagnositic test run at Firestone. The ligt still came on after all that. I need help what do ya'll think?

Mine is 5 and a half years old, still seems Ok but I know they can go at any time ,here they claim they can last up to 10 years if recharged every year, don't believe it

If there is a fault you need to get the code

cant really say more without the code. I have never heard of a battery cable problem on an X-type... what happened there?
what is power lose? I dont understand?

what does the light do? come on and then go off when you are driving? does it stay on for the whole trip?

    Re: DSC System Fault

I'm having the same problem with mine, you've probably already fixed yours, but mine is because I changed the break pads and broke the fluid lines... The system had some air left in it and the DSC system went into fault mode turning itself off... I've to find out how to reset it...

Any help would be great! Thanks

DSC fault has nothing to do with driving fine....

It is there to correct a skidding situation, so you wont know it is not working until you are about to smash or slide off the road.
If the light is on.. the system is not functioning. The wheels will continue to roll merrily along.

Need to get the code read.
