    Amen!

    Met him on a Hot Rod Power Tour stop in St. Louis in '96(?) - we chatted for a while. He was very approachable.

    I enjoy his American Hot Rod show - many of the interactions among his employees would be great case studies for management classes.

    Most of all I liked his creations. I still have a Hot Rod Magazine poster/calendar of Cadzilla with an F-14 flying overhead. Boyd was very cutting edge, and a lot of the trends we see in hot rodding today were started or made popular by him.

    Yes, his business savvy was not always what it should have been, but I still enjoyed his work.

    I didn't even know about it until now...

    I can't say I followed the guy that closely but I did watch his American Hot Rod show. He made some great cars.
