havent needed to yet. A complete, used motor in good shape ,ready to go in, should be worth around 500$. What is wrong with yours?

OH, you think the timing chain went on yours. Have you proved that? If your handy , you could refresh the head from my engine and put it on.

yes i may be able to do that but what if it is the connecting rod, the engine is partialy seized, your engine is good or no good?

Re: my zip code is 02050, BTW

The engine I have is rebuildable. It is going to need some work. It isnt a drop in. If your engine has broken the timing chain, the valves have contacted the pistons and that is the cause of its seizure. You wont know what is up with your engine until you take it apart. If a rod went, the mode of failure is waay different than a timing chain failure. Different noises.

Re: used motor for 88 535is

I didn't read all the responses I just wanted to make sure you knew the 5 6 and 7 3.5 M30 motors are all the same. The only change you would have to make is if you get a 7 motor that was in a 7 series is the motor mount brackets.
