New 645 Owner. Need some input

Well I pulled the trigger on a cream puff '05 645 a week ago. So far I am really enjoying the car. It is obviously a very different machine than my '97 840, as it would be given 20+ years of engineering difference.

My question is related to something that occurred yesterday when my wife drove the car. A PDC Malfunction warning. I took the car out and it did repeat the annoying chime. So I pulled into a parking lot and did some parking. The PDC behaved normally and the warning did not re-appear.

    Is this a known glitch?

    TIA.

That's rare. No Service bulletins on PDC for 6ers. Any clue if is is front or rear sensors? When you get error message does PDC work at all?

YOu can kinda test sensors individually by forcing PDC on and have person walk around car and watch the various zones sound and show off in display. Maybe one got bumped in parking lot scenario.

Dunno, not a lot more I can offer right off.

Thanks. The PDC seems to be functioning

properly. The display shows the zones and interference like it should, but intermittently I get the PDC Malfunction error. I'm going to have it in soon for a left door trim replacement and I will have it investigated.
