I picked up a Turnpike car

I always wanted another rear-engined air-cooled car project.
Craigslist found me a Turnpike Car, made in the mid-60's and used in amusement parks for decades.

It is a bit of challenge. There are no restoration books, suppliers, or Roadfly boards.

The Real Turnpike Cruiser by Mercury

Could it be your go cart lighting parts are from other cars/trucks of the era. The Mercury's car unique feature is the back window rolls down for breeze thru ventilation.
