no oil pressure
no oil pressure. just installed a 320 motor in the ole 2002. changed the oil pan and used old oil pump off of the original motor. put a 5 speed in while i was at it. everthing set up, new clutch, driveshaft, etc. so i'm finally ready to fire it up and the oil pressure idiot light won't go out. i shut the engine down, hooked up a pressure guage where the sending unit goes, pull the plugs, spin the engine with the starter while reading the guage. the needle doesn't even move. any suggestions? is there any way of verifying the oil pump is working without pulling the pump out? any help is greatly appreciated.

no oil pressure
perhaps the pump was dry on assembly ?
chain attached?
what was the pressure of the pump when it was in the other motor ?
forget the pump to block rubber o-rings ?
something screwed up with the pumps pressure relief piston ?
major dirt blockage in the oil circuit leading up to the
low pressure warning switch hole ?
