Extended warranty options?

Any recommendations on extended warranty options in Canada? Obviously, the BMW dealer is one option, but my goodness, they want a lot of money.

I plan to keep my car for many more years yet, but with the past history of the S54 engine, I'd feel better that it's covered in the future.

I looked and looked and opted out due to the cost from the dealer. Oh, and I had a decent mechanic do an inspection on the car before the warranty was up and I bought out the lease. For what it's worth he said it was one of the strongest S54's he'd seen.
