Fix for broken door speaker rings
I replaced the broken door speakers in my 1994 M3 coupe (see images below).
The smaller tweeter was replaced with a Pioneer TS-T110, which is a perfect outer ring fit. I had to cut the hole in the door an extra 1mm for the Pioneer tweeter cup/ring to fit - the result is perfect.
The mid-range tweeter was replaced with a replacement from a wreaker, AUS$40, 70% cheaper than a new BMW one. I wish Pioneer made a 3.5inch speaker cup/ring, I'd replace the mid-range as well because their design is a lot better and stronger than the BMW/Nokia ones. Anyone know of any good replacements?
I also took to the paper parts and storage trays with contact adhesive while I had the door panel off, the door is now as good as it was when it left the factory, and will hopefully be better than the factory job in another 14 years.

TOTALLY AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I owned a new E36 318is Coupe from 1992 to 2001 which made me appreciate the E36 size and ergonomic design of the interior and "cockpit" (as BMW call it).
I remember test driving M3s back in the 90's and thinking "too much money and running costs, but one day in the future" - well that day has come and the car is still in "new" condition and feels "new".
I totally love the car and it is a “driver's car”. I will buy the helmet and hit the track days - time to break loose, safely and legally.

Re: Sexy seats
The seats are the standard Amaretta/Cloth seats on the Australian E36 M3s.
Amaretta is a man-made suede leather look-a-like material, this is the reason why after 14 years of use they still look brand new.
They also grab your clothes so during cornering you do not slide around in the seat AT ALL.
Buggered if I know why people paid the $Thousands more for the leather seat option - test driving in the leather seats I was always moving around in the seat, and when you look at all the second hand M3s now with leather seats they definately show their age and wear-n-tear.
