    Door lock actuator question

    Hi all,
I need door lock actuator for my driver-side rear door (98 M3 sedan).
Will the front door one work? They do have different P/N, but they look very close.

    TIA!
    Raj

They are not the same, get the specific one

Rear door requires more fooling around, more stuff to remove to get to the actuator, but in the end, it's actually an easier and less frustrating job than doing the front doors. I did both front and back about a year ago.

I'm pretty sure the actuators are different front and back. Realoem shows the part as 67 11 1 393 999 for rear lock acuators. Shop around, some places have them cheaper than others.

    Re: Door lock actuator question

Did you have any luck with finding a replacement. I have a 1998 M3 Sedan with a bad actuator on the front passenger door. I was able to get it out but I am unsure where to find a deal on a replacement.
