Setting pistons for timing...
I've got a 524td (I just got it recently and fomerly drove an 86 528e) and I need to set the timing manually due to an error I made while installing the timing belt (I'm in the middle of the project). My question has to do with if there are marks on the crankshaft pulley to set the proper timing position. I did a search and the best I could find was that there are several marks for on the pulley.
Does anyone have any further insight here?
Worst case, I'll have to pull the #1 glow plug and set TDC manually with a stick or something, but I'd rather avoid this if possible.
Thanks in advance...
