    BMW Z3 OEM Spring

    Hello,

Can anyone please help me to where I can find stock BMW Z3 OEM Springs? I have a 1998 BMW Z3 1.9l. My Z3 is lowered and I want to raise it back up again. I do not have my original springs anymore (stolen). I am also not considering coilovers as they are over my budget. Any help is appreciated. Thank You.

    Re: BMW Z3 OEM Spring

Raising the rear 1/2" is easily done by adding lexan disks and a lower pad with the center cut out to the upper pad. The front is not so easy. I made a couple of spacers by heating lexan disks and forming them to the upper plate.

I have a set of 2.8 springs that I would give you (80K miles), but I don't know if they would work. Maybe some one more knowledgeable can offer an opinion.

Where are you located? I'm in Ft. Worth TX. I have the original 2001 Z3 2.5i springs and everything from when I replaced them with a TC Kline Coilover setup. Would love to get them out of the attic. Let me know.

    Probably not

I did a search of past messages on 1.9 springs and found one post by a person who tried 2.8 springs and said the car rode too high. That's possible, since the 2.8 weight is almost 200 lbs greater.

Bavarian Auto stocks them, but does not list them on the web site - just send them an email.

Take them before I send them to the scrap yard

Hi, I always have a set lying around that you can have dirt cheap. If you don't want them they'll probably go to the scrap yard.

    How has it worked?

OK an old post I know, but I was wondering if the lexan worked over time. Did you form it under the upper plate (on the spring side?)
