    Wind Deflector Installation

Is the wind deflector a DIY installation or something best left to the dealer?

Have a 135 convertible on order, which should finish production on June 10. Sparkling graphite, gray leather, Steptronic (a head nod to my wife), premium, sport, heated seats, CAS, iPod/USB. I'll put aluminum pedals and probably the wind deflector when it comes in, most likely the last half of July.

    I can wait but I can't hardly!

The first time you unpack and install the windblocker it will take you a little longer - probably 20 seconds..
After that, you'll be able to install of remove in about 10 seconds..

The listing in the accessories catalog says something about easy installation. I read someplace that you had to take down some upholstery on the seats, which would have meant "easy installation after the dealer installed the mounting bracket" or something like that.

    Thanks!

    Nonsense

All the holes required to install the windblocker on the 1er cabrio are already there (on every 1er cabrio) - just as they are on every 3er cabrio.
When you get the windblocker, it comes in a small carry-on folded into 1/4th it's unfolded size. It'll take 5 seconds to unfold it and another 5 seconds to install it.
I know whereof I speaketh 'cause I have one. ;)
