7 Series Window Malfunctions
Has anyone had there windows or sunroof automatically open when the car is locked and you are away? I had this happen the other night, during a storm. All four windows rolled all the way down and the sunroof was half way open. Had this happen before, but with only one or two windows, never with all four and the roof.

Sure it's not "user error"?
This happened to me once (without the rainstorm) when I decided to put my key in my back pocket. I must have sat on it, thus unknowingly depressing the unlock button. When I went outside, windows and sunroof were all open. Never placed key in back pocket again, and it's never happened again.

Could be a bad switch in the tumbler..............
..the drivers door tumbler has a micro switch in it to open the windows when using the slide in key, you turn and the the lock tumbler in the unlock position and they will roll down.
If the switch goes bad then this could cause the windows to roll down and open the sunroof depending on how long it shorts out for. There probably wont be a fault as the system is responding to the prolonged unlock request.
The other thing that can cause the switch to go bad is window tinters, they squeegee out the water from the tint and it runs down into the door over the switch causing it to short out.
