Re: City Lights
Thanks for the compliment. I wired up the city lights to the parking lights. If I had to do it again, I would have just wired them up to a 12v switched spot so they would turn on when I start the car. Either way. You can't go wrong with some ZKWs and wire up the city lights. It will look nice on your Alpine, which is secretly my second favorite color.
Good luck,

an alternative
IMHO the angel eyes are lame on cars that did not come with them.
I have the H7 conversions for my E36 and they are OEM color, and at only 65 watts they rival the illumination of the HIDs on my E92
The H7 conversions look stock when not on. They are a rather snug fit because they project further rearward. I got mie from Daniel Stern Lighting.

City lights are in the Euros by default
You need the 5w bulb that goes in the high beams . ZKWs come with these...not sure about the others. You just need to find a place to tap the source power feed. The US headlight wire harness does not account for the city lights which is why the power source need to come from the parking lights or some other source.
Thanks! The color is Calypso. It was not a standard color on the M3, but it was avaliable on the E36 3-series. Most examples look terrible now. It is one of those colors that doesn't look very nice if it is not kept up.
