95 M3 wont start (motor turns over)

I was driving yesterday and and went to shift from 2nd to 3rd and the engine just cut out on me. I was stuck in traffic and lost all my controls. turned on hazards and tried to restart car. engine turns over but car wont start. lights come on as well. tried to get a jump still wont start. what is most likely suspect (starter/solenoid?) if so what is approx cost for parts and labor? what else could it be?

    thanx

easily accessible under seat, depends on

how much you paid for parts... and tow. They may have replaced the sender too, which would not necessarily be needed.

Re: easily accessible under seat, depends on

A month ago, my 1995 M3 (94K miles) wouldn't start as well. I had parked the car in the morning, and came back after a round of golf and it wouldn't start. The engine would turn over just fine, it just sounded as if it was out of gas. Since the car had gas, I figured it was fuel-pump related. It ended up just being a blown fuel-pump fuse. less than $1 to fix. I almost had it towed to the dealer where they no doubt would have replaced the fuel pump first, then the fuse.
