You're correct about Wakeman.
And I'm not sure what documentary you guys are talking about, but I'm guessing it was Moog. Seems I recall an interview of sorts with Moog and Wakeman in that program. There was a time when I thought about picking up a moog or minimoog to entertain myself with in a non-serious kind of way, but good ones weren't cheap and Kim still remembers all too well that electric piano I had to have about 15 years ago. So I decided it best to not even ask. :-)
Maybe I'm misunderstanding your comment re King Crimson embracing the moog, but they did use it. I don't remember what album it was, but I know I've seen references to them using an old Moog Source back when. And aside from KC projects, Fripp also incorporated the moog in some of his solo work such as I Advance Masked with Andy Summers (below).
Yea, minimalist use of the music machine, but Fripp and KC have a little history of using it.

I'm thinking the B&C will be...
...wanting a divorce once I get the Theremin, considering that Terry is already annoyed at my playing the cell phone version. Anywho, yeah, KC used some synth in their music, but it was never an overt element, just a small part of the larger ensemble. I guess Fripp was too preoccupied with developing the Mellotron, and Frippertronics(of course)to be bothered with Moog.
