    Are the lamps old? Their output decreases over time. Try changing the bulbs. If that's not it then look into the potentiometer.

    Here is some information on the T3 base bulbs:<br>158: 14v; 3.36w; 0.24 amp; 2cp (500 hour rating)<br>161: 14v; 2.66w; 0.19 amp; 1 cp<br>168: 14v; 4.90w; 0.3 amp; 3 cp (2,000 hour rating)<br>194: 14v; 3.78w; 0.27 amp; 2 cp<br>17097: 12v; 3w; 0.25 amp; 1.76 cp<br>17177: 12v; 5w; 0.39 amp; 4 cp<p>Small base "peanut bulbs"<br>37: 14v; 1.26w; 0.09 amp; 0.5 cp<br>74: 14v; 1.40w; 0.10 amp; 0.7 cp<p><i><br>DASH LIGHTS ON '80 635 EURO TOO DIM. <p>Is there an easy fix, what could be wrong? <p></i><br>

    I had the occasion to replace the headlight pull switch. Solved the problem because when you turn the nob to brighten the dash lights you are actually moving a small tongue on the other side that rubs against a coiled wire. That coiled wire provided a certain level of resistance as it was turned but as they get old, they corrode and pretty soon the resistance is such that the lights get dimmer and dimmer. Fixed my low dash light problem. I would do a complete bulb change if it hasn't been done in ages. Since you have it all torn up, I just change them all. <br>
