Insufficient memory... WTF...
...Trying to photo edit my script for the font creator software, while listening to The Cars, and I got the afore-mentioned error. The dell has an intel duo 2, 3.16ghz w/1333FSB, and 4gb of 800mhz gaming RAM, I increased my virtual memory last week. Whazzzzup with that šhit? Also, the POS locks up, and I have to cold boot it on a daily basis.

Are you running XP or Vista?
If you are running a 32 bit version of XP or Vista, it can onlt address 4GB of memory (and I believe that includes video memory, physical memory and virtual memory) so increasing the page file won't help.
If you open Task Manager (Control + Alt + Delete and then click the Task Manager button) and look at the Processes tab, you can see how much memory each process is using as well as what percentage of the CPU resources. Some processes that are not well written have memory leaks and will continue to hog memory (or the CPU) even when you think it was shut down. If you Google the name of the process, you can find out what it is. You might have malware/spyware or something that you are not aware of running in the background.
Warning: The End Process button can be dangerous if you shut down the wrong process, so be careful playing with that.
Good luck!

Make sure that you update Media Player.
I think version 11 is the latest.

Re: XP-SP3...
Try installing "What's Running" to see EVERYTHING running.
http://www.whatsrunning.net Could be you have spyware or could be something else starting up that you don't know about. For the startup programs, check your msconfig application.
