    I absolutely dispise Corvettes...

...but I have to admit that this is one of the cooler retro design studies. The big question being, how close will the re-bodies be to the design ideal.

Regarding GM corp, I'm a Pontiac fan...

...It's supposed to be GM's performance division. Of course when JZD proposed the Banshee to the execs, they killed the idea because they didn't want anything competing with the Vette. Told JZD that he had to design a car using the Camaro platform, and the Firebird was born. Also, the Solstice will NEVER be given a V8 option for the same reason. I don't see anything special about the Vette, they're everywhere. I see Vettes on almost a daily basis, and my commute is 3 miles. By contrast, I haven't seen a Viper in almost a year. The car may have legions of fan, considered the automotive embodiment of primal lust, but it just don't put no toot in my horn... BTW, football sux!!

    "BTW, football sux!!"

Um, Skin I agree with you on a lot of things, particularly certain tastes in music (Yes, Tull, etc).

But I gotta disagree with you here. Not only is football interesting if you understand it and like something with a little action in it, a lot of us would have nothing to watch until basketball season except for bs such as American Idol and Project Runway. lol

(Kim's addicted to both, so thank God for the gameroom) :)

    Listening to B,S&T right now...

IMHO, their horn section is 1000x better than Chicago's. Anywho, football IS better than reality tv, but it just isn't bloody enough. I wanna see gore, guts, broken bones, and brain tissue... like discovery health channel on steroids, with a side-order of paranoid psychosis. Michael Crichton's "Terminal Man" immediately comes to mind.

    LOL

"I wanna see gore, guts, broken bones, and brain tissue... "

Maybe the County morgue on a Saturday or Sunday morning? :)

    "B, S&T"

Ok, this is a toughie. Pretty much drawing a complete blank, not even sure if we're talking albums or bands. But I'll take a wild guess. Benefit maybe? I'm probably wrong there, but nothing at all is coming to me for S&T.

Btw, I may have mentioned this before but I re-visited one of my favorite places ( Artist Shop )to buy music yesterday and ordered a couple of new CD's. Picked up Crimson's Live At The Shepherds Bush Empire Parts 1 & 2 and Renaissance's Ashes are Burning (nostalgia thing, for Carpet of the Sun). There's a goldmine of music on that site, lots of collector's club/non-commerical type releases and a wealth of new projects by many you'd have thought had fallen off the edge of the planet if you only knew what's out there based on what we hear on the radio. Strongly recommending visiting the site. You can spend hours searching for or stumbling across that rarity kind of thing.

    B,S&T-------> Blood, Sweat, & Tears...

...Thanks for the heads up on the music link. I'm looking for Hendrix's "War Heroes", "Crash Landing", and "Midnight Lightning" on vinyl. It doesn't look like they have them, but they may have some other things. I need to browse the goldmine and see if I can find the Sharpe/Numan "Automatic" EP. My copies of the Hendrix EPs are at my brother's house... The one I haven't spoken to in 4 years.

    Re: Horns; Reality TV...

    <font color= gray>IMHO, their horn section is 1000x better than Chicago's.</font>

Huh?! Do you mean the band, Chicago? Oh, my...

How 'bout Tower of Power, especially their contribution to F-E-A-T's "Spanish Moon", from Waiting For Columbus? L. George's acknowledgement to the crowd is kinda cool.

<font color= gray>Anywho, football IS better than reality tv, but it just isn't bloody enough. I wanna see gore, guts, broken bones, and brain tissue...</font>

Go to YouTube, and search for Joe Theisman. :-O

But Anyway, you're in luck this weekend, for the Tour is in St. Louis for the BMW Championship. As for reality TV, what could be better??? The 'Hole-N-One' prize for one of the Par 3's is an E90 M3; There are no officials, refs, umpires to potentially alter the outcome; Granted, it's not DWTS or DOND but then, no viewer voting either; If you don't like it, then you're not a good little bimmerphile; and, best of all, Eldrick isn't there.

Actually, I'm sad that he's not there....But it's funny (the pathetic def.), to hear the talking heads ever scrambling to bring him up in the conversation, regardless of the present situation, and/or the directors/producers at the ready to show vintage videotape of him.

With NBC having the coverage, there's the potential for a certain whiny, holier-than-thou host Analyst to extend his list of banal observations. Heretofore,

<i>"Nobody hates bogeys more than Tiger."

"Nobody hates 3-putts more than Tiger."</i>

IME, it can't be too long before we hear,

<i>"Nobody hates torn ACLs more than Tiger."</i>

Sometime between now and the Ryder Cup, I suspect...

    ME TOO!

Especially those Z06s that blow past me on the straights at the track. The Z06 is the biggest bang for the buck when it comes to track cars. But I still love 'The Mistress'! Just need a Twin-Screw Supercharger to put those Vettes in their place.<img src="http://www.roadfly.org/bmw/gallery/photos/photos-04-2004/13-2908598.jpg"height=225width=300><img src="http://www.roadfly.org/bmw/gallery/photos/photos-04-2004/13-8802959.jpg"height=225width=300>

Yeah, talkin' bout the band Chicago...

...I think LF's Tower Of Power horn section is far superior to Chicago, and "Waiting For Columbus" is one of my favorite live albums, the extended CD kept my brother's mouth shut on the way back from the Buddy Guy concert last year. I have to admit though, that of the 2, I think Blood, Sweat, and Tears horns are just a wee bit better than the Tower horns. Of course, Lowell George was in a class by himself. As for golf, don't get me started on that=8^)

Re: Been Listening to Sons of Champlin,

Loosen Up Naturally. Good horns there as well.

I've been converting some of my old vinyl onto digital files, saving them to thumb drives and listening to it in the car. WOW

Sorry about the premature hit of the enter key.

    Question?

Did Al Kooper use the same horn section on the Super Session LP with Mike Bloomfield and Steven Stills?

    It's possible...

...but I've never been able to find out the who, what, and where, only that Kooper had the horns dubbed in after the fact. Jerry Weiss was known to play horns for Kooper on projects outside of B,S&T, and I believe Randy Brecker was available around the time the SS EP was recorded/produced.

The Ides Of March's brass section...

...with some assist from the afore-mention BS&T players. I have it on good authority, from a session jazz musician.
