Good game. Good enough for a regular season opener anyway. I think by the time it was over, Rodgers had some more converts. First series started strong, then got a little shakey (I was starting to wonder if those off lineman had been together longer than a couple of hours), then they seemed to start hitting on all cylinders, or at least most of them. And not against the easiest of opponents.

I was rooting for Miami Sunday too, but little panty waste drama queen got a bit lucky. Just a little more time on that clock and Miami could have pulled it off.

Maybe it's just me (won't get any argument from me either), but there's something telling me Favre ain't exactly wishing his old team much luck. Which makes seeing GB win all the better.

BTW, OT question. Is it sacrilege to your kind for someone to nuke brats if they're in a hurry? I just assumed the game was going to start at 7:00(cst), but then I realized it was starting at 6:00 and I just didn't have that much time. :)

Thanks. All around, it was a pretty good game. Fun game to be at too. Except for this piece of crap Vikings fans. I think I've met a legitimate Vikings fan about twice in my life. And I lived in MPLS for 5 years! Most of them are bandwagon like you couldn't believe. Only a handful that really compare to the Packer and Bear faithful, and even THAT is stretching it since that handful doesn't really live and die by the team the way we do.

Anyway, Rodgers played well. A QB rating of 115.5 is certainly respectable, and it would have been even higher if the long Driver touchdown not been called back.

Didn't know how I would react to Favre playing in a game that counted, but it became clear to me early on that I wanted to see him lose. Not that I dislike him or hold any real ill-will, I just didn't want to have him play well and win and then have the Packers potentially lose and have to listen to the Favre/Rodgers garbage for an entire week, if not longer. That 4th down pass he threw could easily have been an interception, so he certainly hasn't changed his ways. Sometimes you win by the Favre, sometimes you die by the Favre. Either way, the Rodgers Era has officially begun in Cheeseland.

Was a bit chilly during the game, though. Not by regular GB standards, of course, but for the real cold games you prepare for it properly. For a game like yesterday, when you were sweating at the tailgate, that mid-40s with a breeze can be an unsettling surprise for some at the later at the game. Kim and I were pretty much ready for it (rain and all) but there were some that you could tell were not quite as experienced.
