what do you think it might be worth?
I'm thinking about selling my 88 535is that i have rescued and loved since 2002. Its black on black 5pd with near perfect sport seats, with the m logos in them, M5 tail lights, euro headlights, black headliner, M5 rear mirror with map lights, blacked out chrome all around(bumpers included). The head has been customly ported and polished that included a special valve grind. I installed an engine oil cooler, removed the ac because it didnt work and strained the engine too much, Has a near perfect front and rear spoiler and also has custom ground control coil over suspension on 2 piece 15 inch rims

Re: what do you think it might be worth?
As a guideline my 1988 535i with 143k was hit and the insurance paid me $3500 minus me buying back the car for $460. I purchased another 88 from California with 250k for $3800 after a 3 month search. Prices ran from $1.500 - $6,600. These included all states of condition. I did not consider automatics for my purchase but did find that the western cars were in better condition. This was back in June. Hope this helps.

Re: what do you think it might be worth?
Apparently you decided it was worth 5000.00 bucks http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/cto/1008190104.html
I live near you and my customers wanting me to restore an ol 535is have emailed and called me about this car over and over. I passed because its to customized. Over my career and now hobby dealing with 80's BMWs I have found cars that are custom ed are way more trouble than they are worth. If you removed the non stock stuff I would consider it as a restore car. Yes they can be restored in ways you never thought of..
