7:59:32 on the N-burg = fastest production sedan
Get the feeling that some engineers in Germany are popping some pepto right now? ...I wonder what the answer from BMW will be.

Went for a drive in the CTS-V today
Went for a ride in the new CTS-V cadilac today. (Friend brought a pre-production one over to my house after dinner). I can sum it up by saying that the poor BMW M5 is done for. Smoked completely.
Cadillac claims that the CTS-V is only making 556 hp,...but apparently that is an understatement. I can't get any hard numbers of what it really does,..but the couple guys I know that work on the cars just smile and laughat the 556 number. I guess we'll have to get it on a dyno soon. No way it does 128 mph trap speeds in the 1/4 with only 556 hp.
1/4 time is supposedly 11.6 sec with the auto trans,...11.5 wiht the manual,..and top speed on the pre pros has been 198 mph.
VERY nice inside too,..and the seats were awsome. Leater sides and alcantera centers,...and this car had the regular seats and not the recaros.
235 front and 285 rear tires.
They call the engine an LSA Basically a slightly detuned version of the LS9 that was in the now defunct Corvette ZR1. Well,..at least that engine will live on in some form.
Pricing expected to be 55 - 63 grand.

will be for sale at 48k soon. I was at the caddy
dealership today and new CTS (not the -V) is for sale at 9k below sticker. they had about 20 of them. their lot is full yet no customers in sight.
the Escalade's are on sale for 38 from 58k usd. 20 grand below sticker ! talking about desperation.
the one i wanted is barely discounted... a cargo HHR for my business on sale from 21900 to 19500 and they dropped it to 19000 but not a penny more. I wanted to give them 15,000 - no deal... I guess having a 4 cyl smallish (2.4l) engine makes it a hotter commodity then a 6.2l V8 monster.

Re: will be for sale at 48k soon. I was at the caddy
Get the turbo HHR SS. It has launch control,..no-lift-shift etc. And be sure to get the Brembo brake option.
