Tires - You need to get a set of these!

New tires on for 3 days and what a difference.

30,600 on original Run Flats. Front still had 1/2 tread available and rear was very near the wear bar. Car seemed to handle good but it was a hard ride, but I did feel like I was hugging the road. I didn't know how hard or bad the ride was until I put on a Set of the
    Goodyear F1's All Seasons.

Love at first movement. The Ride is so much improved its hard to put into words. I guess it was like chaning from a steel wrapped wagon wheel going over bricks to riding on clouds.

Ride, noise and handling are like I'm in a different (BETTER-GREAT) car.

I'll keep you posted on the ride.

I'm a daily commuter, 67 miles each way on East Coast Interstate.

But so far around town is fantasitic and the Interstate is a dream.

    I've had them since March

I agree. They are an improvement over the runflats and certainly will provide more confidence in bad weather.

Just past 1,000 miles and the Dream rides is still there.

This past weekend, in heavy rain, the car felt like it was glued to the road.

Noise is still very much reduced and the ride is still much better.

    Are they still runflat....

    ...or they are conventional tires?

My wife's Z4 has Continental RFTs, but I heard the Michelin Zero Pressure are significantly better...

Re: Tires - You need to get a set of these!

I've got a lot of tramlining issues on my car with the original run flats, where the car follows the grooves on the road, and you have 'hold' the steering wheel stead to stay in your lane at certain times.

Question: Did you find that changing to these new Goodyear tires fixed that?

Just passed 4,000 and still love the ride.

Wet traction is superior. Drove a few days in down
    pooring rain.

Snow - Much better than run flat but sill some
    break from traction on ice.

That's good to hear. the tram lining issues is my biggest pet peeve against the Z4. I'll probably be getting a set of these soon as well.

    Anyone try the B'stone

    All Season tire ? RE960AS
They scored highest on the TireRack survey, the F1-AS seemed to get noisy after 10 or 15K miles after reading some reviews ....
    Anyone try the RE960AS ????????

Just had a blowout on RFT's in the mountains of West Virginia on vacation. Got towed to a Goodyear dealer who has ordered a set of F1's. Waiting to see how long it takes to get them. I have a rental car and have to drive back to WVA from Atlanta when they are installed. Hope the F1's are worth the wait. Boo to RFT's.

I've ordered Tirerack.com tires while on the road and had them take only a couple days to arrive. Then I use the TR installer feature to find a well rated installer with a good price near where I am. Done this more than once with good success.

I have had the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's. Do these perform as well in wet weather? I cant find the GSD3 in my size anymore. I have the 18" wheels that came with the sports package on my 2003 Z4 3.0i.
