Re: water on floor rear passanger
Hey there,
I just bought a '03 530 with the same problem and I was told to check the rear door seal ( have to test with water ) or the inside liner behind the door panel may not may have gaps in the seeal, thus letting water run through into the interior floor. You have to take off the door panel and make sure there are no breaks in the gasket for the door liner...you'll need a silicone caulk or something similar to seal the gaps. This is what I've learned from looking over both E39 boards.
Good luck !

Re: water on floor rear passanger
Be sure to check the drainage of your sunroof also as this is often a source of mysterious water after rain especially after having been stationary in that rain for example overnight !.........my 10 Cents(inflation)GOOD LUCK and can you let us all know on this forum when you find out the problem ?
