Best/Longest Road Trip...
Well, every road trip is the best, but if we want to just talk about the longest trip, I will.
It was HC06 or the 10th anniversary of Homecoming. My wife and I decided to take 2 weeks to get there and 1 week to get home. Yes, we live in Southern California.
As memory serves, we left pre-dawn Saturday morning. Went to the 4-corners and ended up in Utah that night. From there, we headed up to the Dakotas and went thru every state we could heading to Niagara Falls on the Canada Side. From there, we headed down to HC via New York and enen went to Maine to have a Lobster lunch on my wife's birthday. Talk about timing...anyway, got to HC on time and then went down to Florida and took the 10 home from there. We went 9890 miles that trip. Car handled flawlessly the whole time.
That is the long trip in a nutshell.

Re: Oh, BTW, it was 38 states+DC+Canada that trip.
wore out??
I don't understand....
Ok, so I have no idea at this time. I am hoping that I can keep the car running for a while still. I do have thoughts of getting a different daily car and keep the Z4 for weekends, which would be some sort of vehicle that I can take off road as well.

Re: 200K
I got my Z4 Apr 03 and have 109,000 miles. Like you, I have enjoyed everyone of them. No problems at all. Just before turning 100k the check engine soon light came on and new spark plugs fixed that. Have you had any problems between 109k and 200k that I need to be on the look out for? Ever replace battery? Safe miles and open roads.

Re: 200K
Yep, replaced battery witha Wal-Mart battery. works just fine. Have had to replace parts as I went along as things wear out. Just had the Diff bushing replaced by a friend and now the soft top is replaced. new brakes and am ready for a few more miles.
