    Front brake plastic air dam/vent

I keep hearing a rubbing noise when backing out of my drive way and turning. Turns out that the plastic air dam/vent for the front brake (drivers side) either came apart or has broken leaving the section closest to the brake hanging and rubbing against the tire when turning. Any one ever have the same problem? If so whats the fix? Going to temporarily tape it together tomorrow.

    plastic bracket broken

Make one from a piece of aluminium sheet or even from a PET bottle and fix it again.
The one on driver side is especially important as it also cools the alternator.
I replaced the connection from air dam intake with a flexible hose from an aircon duct from the hardware store, works fine and cost me less than $ 3Shogun E32 Tech Tips: http://twrite.org/shogunnew/topmenu.html

    Re: plastic bracket broken

Thanks for the tip. I removed the piece (two screws) for now, and will fix it when the weather warms up.
