    Ipod integration 645?

    Hi everyone.

Just wondering the latest scoop on integrating an ipod in to the idrive system of my 2005 645? Is the stealership the best option or had a third party made it easy enough to adapt it to my cd player in the govebox? Also, for those who do have an ipod in the glovebox, do you have to turn it on every time you get in the car??

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Ipod integration 645?

BMW has a kit for both versions (with factory 6 disc in glove box and without) Kit costs $295 and $315 and about 1.5 hours to install. They will need to remove the disc changer as it uses the same power and buss connections. Songs will appear in your iDrive screen.

Dennison is the only other full integration system and allows one to keep the 6CDC if you had it. Probably more expensive than BMW soluiton as well.

If you have your MP3 activated, then BMW OEM

controller is just plug and play - no programming necessary.

    Had it installed...

I found someone from the dealership who installed it after hours for a total of $300. He had to remove the cd player but why would I need it anyway? The iPod powers on automaticly and works through idrive. Only issue is when you sort through by song, the order still list by artist. ?? It's easier to set up folders so you don't have to scroll through 200 songs. 95 black 325is
