I phone installation

I have a 2008 3351 coupe. Has anybody had the I phone cradle installed on there car. I have NAV. and BMW assist. Dealer quoted part price at about $250. Has anybody done the install. The only advantage seems to be you can control the Itunes through the stereo. Phone function should be the same as just bluetooth. Any feedback would be helpful. By the way I just swaped this car from a 2001 540i 6 speed sport. No comparison this car blows the 540 away.

I had it factory installed. You can control all the music (playlists, songs, artists) through the steering wheel. I throw my iphone in only when it needs to be charged but for the most part have taken a 1st generation ipod nano with a worn out battery and left it in the car.

Between that and sirius, I never need to leave the car.
