E46 Staggered Fitment Wheels work on an 07 328xi?

I'm trading in my 2005 M3, will miss it, but I need to put the money elsewhere. I'm picking up a CPO'd 328xi with sport package.
I can't determine if the 18" Beyern Rims that I had on the e46 will work with the 328xi. There are staggered fitments indicated on Tire rack and bav auto, but I can't get the offsets or whether the hub center size is the same. Also given all wheel drive, with different rim widths, how close do the tire diameters have to be to each other?
