Serious whinning from Throttle body?
In trying to figure out why my car won't fire, I was under the hood when I noticed a pretty bad whinning noise. I tracked the sound to what appears to be a silver box with round section, that appears to be connected to the larger circular device just before the intake plenum. I'm guessing the larger device is the throttle body.
The smaller silver box (which appears to have a motor or servo in it), is the source of the sound. The sound itself resembles a small electric motor that is stuck.
I've been swimming thrrough the archives for a couple of days now and have learned lots of good new stuff, but damn if I can't get this car running without the Dealer. I'll be getting the Peake tool soon if I can't find the problem on my own.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Your top post didn't indicate that you were famil
Sorry, Roy. I actually never had to deal with it on my 6er, but I just didn't know how it applied over here. Understood though.
Car is still not running! Waiting a couple more days to pick up the Peake. Hopefully that'll shed some light on matter!
