Shell's new nitrogen enriched gasolines
This will be a big problem, I think, for E23, E24 and E28 owners with the Big 6 engines in California.
There is no detail of the science behind it.
I think this is a move to cheaper refining methods. Especially in California, because MTBE was banned as a cracking additive to raise the motor octane and refiners here had to go back to hydrogen fluoride to raise hydrogen levels in Cali gas.
I wonder if we will be looking at engine rebuilds and more expensive catalytic converters just to stay ahead of the 35 air quality districts of California.
