Re: 366k, that is awsome
Most of the car is oringal. The only underhood parts changed are the alternator at 288k, water pump, radiator, and head gasket at 227k. The rear diff, driveshaft, tranny and clutch are all orignal, although the clutch slave and master cylinders have been changed. The normal wear parts like brakes, shocks and bushings have obviously been changed but it still has a surprisingly large number of original pieces.

Re: What is your model and current mileage?
I have a 1993 525i manual with 328,000 miles on it. The engine has never had the head off of it, and the transmission has never been rebuilt (just a few clutches). Bought in 1999 with 67K on it.
I truly believe manual transmission cars last long than automatics because of the linear progression of RPM under load when driving. Automatics, when you punch the gas, shift down and bring the RPMs up fast under load. If you shift down correctly in a manual, you bring the RPMs up with the clutch in, reducing wear.
At least that's my theory...........
