slave clutch cylinder woes

first: brand new slave cylinder push rod came off in clutch while testing. Lots of brake fluid in the clutch. Anything devistating that I should be concerned about?

second:put old slave back on (master was bad, thought would change out slave at same time so old slave is in working order). Now when I put the car in gear, the clutch does not engage. car just sits there. You imput is greatly appreciated

I am confused here are you saying the car will not move at all and your able to shift into gears while the car is running. Then if thats the problem then I suggest you replace the clutch, its worn out. OR ha ha your drive line and or half shafts are gone!
