    Loose Steering + Tire Rub

    Hi,

I have recently experienced some loose steering (you can "jiggle" the steering wheel and feel some play) and tire rub when turning sharply in reverse on the front drivers side. Any ideas on the cause?

    Thanks!

Probably a broken stearing mount, very common

on 5ers and 6ers. Run the front end up on your 'rhino ramps', have someone turn the wheel slightly from side to side while you watch to see if the bracket moves. you gotta be under the car. Lots of info on this in the archives along with an 'easy' fix. That's where I'd look first. These are stock wheels?
