528e fuseboxes way up in price!! anyone got one??

what do we all do w/ our old fuseboxes? Bavauto selling for 459...they said the fuseboxes used to be about 60 bucks. I'm kicking myself for not gettign one. my fuses will sometimes get loose...help! What creative solutions exist?

I have 1, 100 shipped with a LOT of wire coming out-regardless you have to make butt connections or solder the wire since you would otherwise have to fish out the entire harness.

the top with the fuse contacts is all you you need to replace. The plug in is color coded and fairly idiot proof. I only screwed up 1 wire. Having long skinny fingers is a definite plus. Last fuse box repair I did , I used 9 inline blade fuse holders.

a, not sure what you mean by replacing only the top? did you swap the type of fuses? i hate the bullet fuses.
