R888's on Mcoupe ... Tips?
Damn Toyo quit making the RA1's so just bought my first set of their R888's. Just thought I'd see is any of you "trackies" have used them yet and what air pressures are you finding that works best? For suspension, I'm just running some SA Koni's, but with some TCKline camber plates. TIA

i haven't run them myself but here's what i'm
hearing: they get an unusall amount of wear down the center of the tire. the guys found this out while running them around 38-40 psi hot. to compensate for this, their solution has been to increase psi to 48 or so to get even wear across the tire
apparently the new nitto's are a better tire from what i'm hearing. i'll be looking for a set of those later in the summer.<table width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">

Re: R888's on Mcoupe ... Tips?
I have alot of miles , all track, 700 miles and another day if I am lucky. I usually run NTO1s but the R888s held up well to Reno Fernley. TP is 38 front and a pound or two less for the rear. I have CCW wheels and have 255s in the front and 275s in the back. Good luck.

37 psi front / 39 psi rear hot
On NT01's (which is almost the same tire). I have 235 front 255 rear. Anything over 40 psi hot and grip goes down fast. I think 37-38 psi hot is about optimal for grip, but my setup produces understeer so I raise the psi in the rear to help the car rotate on track out.
