Brake pad change?

Has anyone changed there brake pads and if so how hard was it.

Well, it's not as easy as changing light bulbs; about on par with changing the oil. Hardest part is getting the new pad wear sensor into the pad. Directions are available on these forums and other places on the www.

Be sure to measure the rotor with a micrometer, as BMW rotors are soft and usually last no more than two sets of pads, often just one set.

It might be worth a couple of beers to ask a friend who's changed brake pads before to help you the first time.

If you are in the US, it's included (along with rotors) in the free, 4 years/50k miles maintenance.

brake pads for my 135i. As soon as they come out, I will be replacing the stock brake pads. That is something I have always done on my new BMW's. I don't like the brake dust from the factory pads.
