AC Compressor Rebuild
Hello all,
I've been overhauling my AC system and just got everything back together when my compressor crapped out. It's making a nasty grinding noise. I think I overtightened the belt. Everything else in the system works. It even blows cold, just not as cold as it should and high side pressure is only 100 psi.
Anyhow, to my question: Has anyone out there rebuilt one of the Bosch compressors? I get the basic idea of what to do, but could use any insights on idiosyncrasies of the Bosch units. I have a donor compressor from a working car, so between the two units I should be all set.
This time I won't over-tighten the belt.
Thanks in advance,
Craig

Problem solved: I just installed the working (m)
I was going to use for parts.
I don't know what I was thinking with a rebuild when the other unit worked perfectly fine in my old e28.
I've now got 38 degree air coming out of the vents on this 85 degree first day of summer here in Massachusetts.tddude
