    transmission O ring

Have tried removing the O ring (one with metal inside) that seals the linkage shaft going through the transmission housing, using small screwdriver and dental picks. No joy.

Anyone have any ideas? Or better yet discovered a successful technique?
    Thanks Dave

a small flat screwdriver worked best

you have to be very careful not to scratch the area around the seal. In the end, I found a small flat screwdriver worked best, use the flat area of the shaft for leverage (the part where the arm sits)

Thanks Shogun. As I said ,have tried this but o ring too far recessed for good leverage. But I will try again. Dave

    or try some woodscrews

and screw them into the plastic, outside a ring where these screws go thru, then try to pull it out.
I remember that it is not that easy, and I even bought 2 new seals, one as a spare, just in case something goes wrong.Shogun E32 Tech Tips: http://twrite.org/shogunnew/topmenu.html
