feels to me like the powersteering pump is on the fritz...

but
after reading the archives some one suggested making sure the tensioner is working properly on the belt, before presuming the pump is the problem and that sure makes a lot of sense to me..because I know for a fact that tensioner has been long overdue for replacment, (at least a year based on its whrrrring sounds).

although,
my thinking prior to reading that archive was that maybe my powersteering pump has air in its system and its airbound, so I was wondering if anybody here has had an air bound pump problem or knows if there's a bleeder valve of some type on the pump or close to it, or if there's a history of some sort that is inherent to such pumps.
