Traction contol / ABS relations to powersteering

is theree a relationship between my traction control /ABS that will cause my powersteering to get stiff and hard to turn the steering wheel and if so can I unplug it,or bypass it at some particular spot.

    There is no relationship.

Your problem is with your steering system, plain and simple. It's old-school.--

Re: Thanks .. then that just about covers all poss

possible, things that would/could cause this stiff steering problem.

so its now come down to, biting the bullet and changing the pump/belt/idler pully, before its freezing tempertures here.

The leaves just started changing colors 30 miles Northwest of Boston but here on Cape Cod everything's green still, but autumn is creeping in... seeing thats only 100 miles north of me. so I can't ponder this project much longer...
