Non starter Auto 156k UK

My E23 735 refused to turn over. Previous day ran great but now it will not turn over. All warning lights on, new battery and recent starter. Leads all clean and tight, no click on turning key just a deafening silence. Help please.

no power going to the starter solenoid. Check connections, relays, ignition lock circuits.

I tried pins 11 to 14 and nothing, So I will test the low power lead ASAP.

i own a 1986 732i uk spec,i was driving the car the other day when a orange warning light(a gear cog with a !in the middle) come on then the car was reving at 3000 revs and wouldnt change gear(automatic with sports box)then i heard a grinding noise i pulled over and it wouldnt start again.
tow truck arrived couldnt get it going they suspect a engine sieze or transmission i checked transmission and engine oil both ok,tried starting it this morning i can hear the fuel pump and then a clunk (maybe starter motor)but i thought about changing the starter but wasnt sure how it come out.but i have had ignition problems before the car would just conk out for no reason and then restart,the car is fitted with a 2 way switch (you have to turn the ignition on to the lights come then you have a flick switch to start it)ive checked the earth wire and found out the earthstrap from the battery negative to the car body was f$%ked so i replaced it and it still wont start any ideas?
